Industry interaction/internship
As per curricula, in-plant summer training for a period of 6-weeks is mandatory for the final year
students of the department for their B.Tech. degree in Chemical Engineering.
Every year the 7th semester students are sent to various companies across India during May-June for such summer training. After the training, they have to submit a report duly
authenticated by the respective companies and have to appear for a viva-voce examination before an external examiner.
Besides the compulsory in-plant summer training, eminent professionals are invited in the department for delivering lectures in various seminars.
These seminars are generally organized by the Alumni Association of the department. Some professionals are involved in the teaching and
examination processes of the department as guest teachers and external examiners. They regularly give their feed-back in the revision of
syllabi and curricula.

Depending upon the eagerness of the students, a few students from 2nd or 3rd semester are sent to undertake short term
research projects in the R&D of reputed organizations like HUL, Bengaluru; BARC, and research laboratories like NCL, Pune; IOCL, Faridabad.
